The Strategic Shopper

March 18th, 2009 at 4:34 pm by Nancy Krause under Consumer

I just saved $122 dollars on my weekly grocery store bill!

Now that I have your attention, let me tell you how I did it.

Like many of you, I have found our weekly food bill keeps growing and growing. I always knew I should be shopping the sales and clipping coupons; but as a working mom – who has the time?

For months my husband has been saying we needed to do something called “strategic shopping.” I always agreed, but we never did it – that is until this past weekend. Now I hope my journey to becoming a “strategic shopper” will help others save as well.

One Response to “The Strategic Shopper”

  1. Last week sometime maybe even the week before, I asked the weather portion of WPRI eyewitness news and still have gotten any response. Maybe you can HELP so here I go again:
I’m John Sullivan, a resident at the RI Veterans Home in Bristol.
All my old time veterans and myself watch the early newscast at 5am.
At the bottom of the screen there is a “streamer” that shows forecast
and the only town they show is Tiverton and its 28 residents . Why
not show Bristol or Warren where are thousands more residents? The
old timers are always bugging me about that. Also is there a
possibilty of placing a “weather station” on our roof. They would get
kick out of it. Please respond shortly so I can tell these I’m
trying. I’m only a resident myself but they ask me question??????????
all the time. Thank you! Please try to get back soon. And, oh yeah,
tell Michelle welcome back (she’s from our town)
