“Spare the rod, spoil the child” comes to mind. I observe an awful lot of disrespectful youngsters out and about and can’t help from thinking that a few swats on the back side would of done them a world of good.

I spank my kids if things escalate past the brink. If DCYF or anyone else thinks they can do a better job at taking care of my kids, I would like to see it. I was raised with a wooden spoon that sat on the table that was not used for food. I think a spanking with a hand is a cake walk. People need to find more important things to watch like the wonderful recession that is emptying our pockets.

I agree with you Michelle, no one should hit/ spank a child out of frustration or to really hurt them. BUT – A spank in the butt once in awhile to get their attention I think is ok.
