It’s iPhone 3GS day!
SO, the new iPhone is out. I guess there will be a ton of people waiting in lines again. Speaking of waiting…
When the 3.0 software finally hit iTunes it was a little after 1PM. Of course, I was at work, so I fired up iTunes on my Dell and clicked the upgrade button. iTunes then told me I had to download a new version. I downloaded the new version, and of course had to restart the Dell. This whole process took about 1/2 hour.
Once the stupid Dell finally rebooted, I again fired up iTunes. I again hit the Upgrade button, and my iPhone began syncing. And syncing. And syncing. And backing up…
Now, it was almost 2:45 and it was STILL backing up. I had to just give up and stop the synch, as it was time to go home! I guess my Dell just didn’t like playing with iTunes…Jeeze.
I got home, again had to download a new iTunes, but didn’t need a restart on my G5. I also had to synch again, but this only took about 10 minutes on the Mac. It then took several tries to connect the upgrade. It was busy for about 20 minutes.
Finally, around 4PM I had my upgrade!
So…Copy and Paste is great, so is landscape keyboard. Other than that, it’s pretty much the same.

Have fun waiting in line for you new video 3GS!
