Mmmmm… Sweet Potatoes
We’re are slowly introducing solid foods to Charlie. It’s been both a funny and exciting experience… a little nerve-wracking at times, too, since I often feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve been getting lots of advice from family members and friends about how best to introduce new foods… but the one that makes the most sense to me is to start with the veggies. So here’s how Charlie’s menu expansion has gone: we started with rice cereal, which Charlie isn’t crazy about… tried oatmeal without much success… loved sweet potatoes and carrots and hated peas. Next food—avocado… I hear it’s full of goodness and often well-liked for little ones.

Where's my dinner?!
Hey Michelle, Charlie is such a peanut. You are doing the right thing with starting veggies first. Get there taste buds used to the veggies before starting any fruits. Its what was done with my niece and she definately eats all her veggies before fruit….=) Good Luck and keep alot of wipes on hand.
Hey Michelle, Charlie looks adorable sitting in the high chair waiting to eat
That is the best place to feed them, gets him use to the fact that when he’s in there, it’s time to eat. My Lil Miss Morgan started on the ceral and veggies first also, of course she is sooo big we haven’t even given her the fruit yet. She loves her food. Already drinking from the sippy cup. They grow so fast, enjoy him as your little guy now.

Hey Michelle! Oh my… look at how ADORABLE he looks in his high chair! Too precious. I started the boys on veggies first, too. Till this day my sons still love sweet potatoes!
How old is Charlie? I am surprised he’s already eating real food! My pediatrician said no real food for a year! I hope Pete had a wonderful 1st Fathers Day. Your son looks so happy. FYI… My boy loved “little trees” – Broccoli !
Peace
