Full Channel to launch Al Jazeera English, Current TV & Fox Business News

APRIL 25, 2011 – WARREN, R.I. - Full Channel TV, Inc. announced today that it has finalized agreements with three burgeoning cable networks and that on Tuesday April 26 it will launch Al Jazeera English on channel 168, Current TV on channel 118 and Fox Business News on channel 169, all on its Digital Silver TV tier.

So in one fell swoop, Full Channel is adding Rupert Murdoch’s station, Al Gore’s station, and the leading news source of the Arab street. Very ecumenical of the scrappy family-owned cable provider.

Jokes aside, this means Rhode Island’s East Bay is now one of just four places in the United States where Al Jazeera English is available on the local cable system, for reasons The Hollywood Reporter explained last month. The others are Washington, D.C., Vermont and Ohio.
