38 Studios (quietly) not a fan of the Stop Online Piracy Act
David Segal used this space last month to voice his opposition to the Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA, a stance which is actually managing to unite bloggers of the left and right, too. Curt Schilling’s 38 Studios, the gaming company that set up shop in Providence last year, isn’t so sure about it, either:
A representative from Kingdoms of Amalur developer 38 Studios also voiced its dissent: “Based on the SOPA bill’s current structure, 38 Studios believes that the bill requires further restructuring and review to ensure it both preserves rights and protects intellectual properties. Please know that we take this issue very seriously.”
