The latest financial snapshot of the 1st Congressional District race shows David Cicilline pulling ahead, Brendan Doherty staying competitive, and Anthony Gemma facing an uphill climb.

Unsurprisingly for an incumbent, Cicilline leads the pack with $701,249 in the bank on March 31, according to Federal Election Commission filings. Doherty, who was nearly even with Cicilline last September, is now trailing him with $559,645 on hand. And Gemma has a negligible $1,771.

On the other side of the ledger, each campaign is still carrying debt: $199,623 for Gemma and $70,000 for Cicilline, both from loans made in 2010, and $50,000 for Doherty. Take a look:

Another way to look at it: Doherty has 80 cents for every $1 of Cicilline’s, down from 98 cents six months ago.
