Rhode Island and a diversified economy... not as long as its political culture resembles the mid 1930's. The cast of career politicians shouldn't be trusted at all. How about asking what their plans are for that so called state budget surplus? Want to bet, they'll just keep spending it on their favorite ideas and projects? The more one contemplates this state, and similar basket cases, the more I prefer term limits across the board, constitutional spending and tax limits, and reducing public sector debt. Since Rhode Island is no where along these lines, my suggestion is for more of the same personal investment... in moving vans, as far away as possible.

As I read all the published accounts from the time 38 studios was being considered for this deal by EDC, it appears that Gordon Fox may have been the first one to lobby Keith Stokes about 38 Studio, right before Carcieri got on board.

What would his stake have been at the time?

Anybody who is trying to shift the blame from Carcieri to Chafee on this deal is living under a rock. Chafee not only wasn't in office when this happened but he actively opposed it. Now he is stuck with it. And Thanks Don is nowhere to be seen
