Another Round of T’Storms Possible Late Today

Another round of strong thunderstorms is possible later today in parts of southern New England.  An approaching warm front will help to initiate a line of showers and thunderstorms in western and northern New England in the afternoon… those storms could then work their way into interior sections of southeastern New England for late afternoon and early evening.

We’ll be watching these storms for their potential to become locally strong or severe.  The Storm Prediction Center has parts of  New England under a “Slight risk” for severe thunderstorms with hail and damaging wind gusts the primary threat:

In RI and Bristol County, MA… the chances of  severe thunderstorms is lower, but still some locally strong storms are possible… particularly north and west of Providence.
