Rainy Start Today

We awoke to steady rain today, as a slow-moving cold front inched it’s way into New England.  The steadiest of the rain will be this morning… with cloudy skies and some lingering showers and mist this afternoon.  Rainfall totals in most areas will be around 1/4-1/2″.  It’s another cooler than average day with high temperatures in the upper 60s to near 70.

This Afternoon

High pressure, our fair-weather friend, will begin controlling our weather once the front moves out… bringing a batch of dry, crisp Canadian air.  The position of the high pressure…. to our north and east from Thursday into the weekend will provide at stretch of  dry days and storm-free weather. However, it’s not in a good position to bring in any summer heat.  In fact, even with lots of sun each day, the temperatures will be at or below average… with cool, crisp mornings and comfortable afternoons.
