Patience this Morning
Improving conditions are on the way for today, but it’s going to require a little patience for some communities … especially south of Providence. Low clouds and mist will give way to sunshine with temperatures in the low to mid 70s by late afternoon. A breezy northeast wind will keep temperatures a bit cooler than normal and will help to wave the American Flag on this Flag Day 2012.
High pressure anchored over Nova Scotia through the weekend will keep skies dry and storms away… but it will also provide breezy northeast winds, which will keep temperatures at, or below, average through Sunday. Warmer temps, into the 80s will return early next week as the high shifts to the southeast US and our winds turn more towards the southwest.
The weather this weekend looks great for all of the scheduled summer-time events… from the National Guard Air Show, to the CVS/Caremark Charity Classic, to Graduations and Weddings… pleasant temps, low humidity and dry skies are expected.
