Summer Starts Wednesday

Good Evening…
The official start of Summer is this Wednesday, the Summer Solstice. Ironically the earth is at it farthest point from the sun on the first day of Summer. (it’s actually closer in Winter). However where we live in the northern hemisphere the earths axis is tilted toward the sun. In Winter, even though we are closer to sun, the axis is tilted away.
As is turns out the first day of Summer Wednesday will be hot. Look at the high temperatures Today in the Midwest….that hot air is headed our way for mid week. Tony Petrarca
