The Bermuda High…

Good Evening…

It still looks  like an extended stretch of very warm to hot air is on the way the next 5-7 days along with higher humidity. The name of the weather feature that will help to bring this is called the “Bermuda High”.  Its an area of high pressures that is anchored off the East coast. The strength shape and position of the high determines if we are hot and humid, or just seasonably warm and dry.  The wind flow around this high is clockwise…the map below shows this clock wise air flow will usher in heat and humity. The 90 degree weather will be confined to areas away from the coast. It looks like this high will be around the next 5-7 days, so a prolong period of sultry summer air…Tony Petrarca
