Another Warm, Humid Summer Day
It’s going to be another warm and muggy summer day…. early morning fog is lifting with skies turning mainly sunny from late morning through the afternoon. A cold front will inch towards western New England this afternoon, giving areas in western and central New England a chance of a brief, isolated shower or thunderstorms. Most of those storms will never make it into RI, but there’s a small chance that one slips into far northwest RI. Locations from Providence down to the beaches should stay dry again today.
As we head into the late part of the week, our chance of t’storms increases as a cold front slowly approaches. Here’s a look at the shower/t’storm probability for the next few days. Even though we have a good chance of showers for tomorrow and Saturday, there will be lulls in the rainfall… even perhaps some hazy sun at times.
It’s going to be a sultry night at Gillette Stadium for the Patriots pre-season game. Hot and humid conditions— in the upper 80s this afternoon for tailgaters —will give way to a steamy evening as temperatures slowly drop into the 70s during the game.
