Drier Air…For Now.

Good evening…

A noticeable change in the air Tonight….for one, no thunderstorms…but the other is the brief drop in humidity.  Winds have switched from the south (humid wind direction) to the west and northwest which is a drier direction. The map below shows the latest Dew Points.  Keep in mind the dew point is a direct measurement of how much water vapor is in the air. The higher that number…the more humidity. The last few days the dew point has been in the lowers 70s…that’s the kind of number we get when very high humidity is in place. Now the numbers have dropped  to the upper 50s to 60 which is much drier.

Dew points will be on the rise Friday, so enjoy the comfortable air while its here. Tony Petrarca
