Today’s Flash Flooding

September 5th, 2012 at 7:01 pm by under Tony's Pinpoint Weather Blog

Good Evening…

Some areas Today picked up 2-4″ of rain (a month’s worth) in just 2 hours.  The net result was serious flash flooding in some areas. Our doppler  radar can estimate how much rain has fallen over a given time. The red colors on this map represent rainfall amounts of 2-4″. You can see two very narrow strips of red which represent where the heaviest of the rain fell Today. Fall River was hit very hard…you can click HERE for the storm photo gallery……..Tony R Petrarca

The northend of New Bedford got slammed as well! I never saw such heavy rain fall for that long of a time as it did today! Everything was flooded.
