The people of Rhode Island are only learning that the state has a dismal economy. It has been depressed for years. Just look at how many triple deckers are still standing. If the economy ever improved in Rhode Island most of those buildings would have been torn down.
We have friends that have decided to move out of Rhode Island. They have lived here all their lives, at this time they are ready to just give the keys of the house to the bank and run. On of the spouses has a job lined up out of state. The other spouse is looking for a transfer. If that does not work out for them they will quit and dump the house.
