Nice Kick-Off to October

After a cool and dreary weekend, it was a nice change to wake up to cool, crisp sunshine on this 1st day of October.  The combination of mainly sunny skies and a west-southwest wind will lead to a much milder afternoon… with temperatures in most areas on either side of 70…. about 10° warmer than the weekend.  Enjoy!

Today

Another round of unsettled weather is on the way for mid-week.  We’ll likely awake to some hazy sunshine tomorrow morning, but clouds will thicken and there’s the chance of showers by the evening and night.  While showers will continue to threaten our area through Wednesday and part of Thursday, this is not expected to be repeat of the raw rainy weather from the weekend.  Temperatures, even with clouds and showers should climb into the 70s with higher humidity.

A shot of unseasonably cool air will move into the northern Rockies and Plains late week, bringing the first chance of accumulating snow to parts of Montana and Colorado… that cold air will modify as it moves across the country, but will bring our temperatures back to below average highs by the second half of the weekend.  The cooler temps may linger into next week, too.

Temperature Probability for 10/8-10/14
