Tailgating and Game Planner

October 7th, 2012 at 8:42 am by under Tony's Pinpoint Weather Blog

If you are heading to the Pats game today, there will be a chance of showers during the afternoon when many of the tailgating parties are going on.  However, I am not expecting a washout at this point.  The chance of showers will start to increase after kickoff (4:25PM), and the best chance of steady rain would be from the 2nd half through the drive home. When the rain is falling, temperatures will be in the low 50s and drop into the upper 40s.  The bottom line? Bring warm AND waterproof clothing to the game.

I don’t have any game predictions, but I do think Brady and Manning will throw for a bunch of yards.  From my “unoffical” football studies, rain does not affect the passing game as much as wind.  While there will be a bit of a chilly breeze, it will NOT be an extremely windy game.
