Low temperatures for Saturday 10-13-12

There’s no doubt about it, it was a cold start to the weekend with Saturday morning lows belowing freezing.  One of the typical cold spots, Taunton, started out at 25! Of course, the sun warmed us up fairly quickly today and the afternoon highs were in the low 50′s. Through the night tonight, we’ll see the clouds act like a blanket, keep some of the day’s warmth in place.  Also, a southwest wind will transport some milder air into Southern New England. The sunrise temperatures on Sunday morning could be about 20 degrees warmer than Saturday morning’s! Places like Taunton could be 25 degrees warmer.  We don’t see any more significant bouts of cold during the next 7 days, but of course, more cold air will eventually get here.  Until it does, enjoy some milder temperatures for Sunday and and Monday when afternoon highs could be in the upper 60′s and low 70′s. Enjoy!-tj
