These are the weather days many New Englanders live for…. low humidity, crisp mornings and mild afternoons…. Autumn weather fans will have another fantastic day today, with mainly sunny skies and slightly warmer than normal temperatures.

Changes are on the way… in the form of a slow-moving cold front.  That front will head east through today, with the leading edge of wet weather pushing into southern New England by Friday morning.  It looks like it will bring a healthy slug of rainfall through the day Friday and into Friday night…. as much as 1″ in spots.

There is still some question as to how quickly the rain moves out on Saturday.  After looking at all of the new data this morning, I’m leaning towards some lingering showers Saturday morning with some improvements from west to east through Saturday afternoon.  Sunday still looks great!  Mostly sunny, breezy and a bit cooler.  Check back in for updates as we continue to fine tune the weekend forecast.
