No jobs equals no money equals can’t afford to travel.

  2. Ken says:

What is the number of people using the new train stop at the airport?

  3. Jeff says:

The challenge is not the number of travellers but the number of flights offered by the airlines. With the consolidation, there are fewer airlines and fewer hubs to connect to.

I fly almost every week from Green. The planes are almost always full and the fares are high.

The airport agency needs to determine what offers it can make to airlines to increase their capacity.

  4. Matt says:

Gene Valcenti on his morning radio show mentioned that Air Canada has decided to elminate routes to and from TF Green in the near future.

Any positive news ever in this state?

  6. barry says:

Considering all the noise and pollution from aviation (and that industry’s resistance to European efforts to require reduction in greenhouse gases) perhaps this is not such bad news. Rhode Islanders might do well to vacation closer to home and leave their travel dollars more in the local economy.

Our states economy has been on the skids for several years and if our elected
officials can’t fix the problem the airport will vanish with a lot of other things like jobs , small busineses, and population. With all the problems we have like tax burden per individual, poor state management, unemployment, population loss, debt per individual our elected officials must be confused as to which way to go or they don’t care.
