City to repay HUD $600K to restore affordable housing program

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – The city has offered to repay the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) more than $600,000 in federal funds for affordable housing projects that were either never completed or are only partially occupied, according to a letter obtained by WPRI.com.

    That is fine for the city to payback HUD, then go after the people who robbed the city blind. Proscute them to the fullest extent of the law and make them reimburse the city. I really don’t care if their spouses have to eat cat food during their retirement. It is time criminals and their families not to be coddeled anymore.
