A.H. Belo puts The Providence Journal up for sale

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – A.H. Belo, the Dallas-based company that has owned The Providence Journal since 1997, announced Wednesday morning it has begun seeking a buyer to purchase Rhode Island’s statewide daily, but cautioned that it might not find a suitable purchaser.

    Wow, one day after publicly denying it. $40 million tops. John Henry steps up for this.

    Don’t be surprised to see Citizens sold sooner rather than later either. Recent RBS computer system failures were due to not spending money over the years to update them. Then they were just fined about $460 million for Libor rigging.
