Rhode Island PBS invited me to join the panel for last week’s edition of “A Lively Experiment,” along with Ian Donnis, Ed Fitzpatrick and Jim Baron. The four of us offered a preview of what we expect the General Assembly will focus on during the 2014 session. The video is up now – check it out:

    The push against payday loans is really just another form of class warfare, like putting higher taxes on beer over wine, and cigarettes over cigars. An association with the poor draws the ire of the middle class, who like to attack symptoms of poverty to make themselves feel better.
