Raimondo proposes more RI infrastructure spending

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gina Raimondo on Monday put forward the second piece of what she says will be her campaign’s comprehensive jobs plan, proposing a significant increase in state spending on infrastructure.

    She’s got a ‘comprehensive job plan’, but she’s telling us about it in a piecemeal way? How does that make sense?

    More “pay to play” from Raimondo, to buy votes:

    (1) Pay: “…the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 51 and the Ironworkers Local 37 – have endorsed Raimondo for governor…”

    (2) Play: “…Raimondo’s campaign projected the various proposals would together create “upwards of 4,000 new jobs over the next five years,” emphasizing that many of those would be in the building trades…”

    What a surprise.
