PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Providence mayoral candidate Brett Smiley picked up his first significant endorsement outside of the city’s East Side Wednesday, winning the support of State Rep. Ray Hull, who represents part of the vote-rich 5th ward in Mount Pleasant and Elmhurst.

    smiley is the least qualified candidate. i could not find much of a resume on his website??? what does that mean? what are his achievements? says he was a financial advisor to last 2 mayors. one was ciccilini. is that something you would advertise?

    as for hull — maybe a job in it for someone. or maybe he has an ax to grind against everyone else. most in ri, especially providence, support others just to get favors.

    still can’t figure out why anyone would want to be mayor. its a ship that has already sunk.

    Smiley is in his early thirties. He has accomplished little in his career. Not ready to lead.
